Oblong's debut 12" release, You and Me is an immaculately crafted dancefloor stomper with pop sensibilities featuring the vocals of Adam Parker. Coming on like Erlend Oye meets the Pet Shop Boys, You and Me has that magical spark which makes a great record – a fantastic song with infectious melodies, dreamy piano lines and luscious strings topped off with Adam’s melancholic vocals.

The lyrics were written by Derek Hammond from seminal post punk band Yeah Yeah Noh, who were pioneered by John Peel. Their song 'There's Another Side to Mrs Quill' was also voted as one of the TOP 50 Greatest British Songs Ever by Mojo magazine.

The remix package is also very strong, complimenting the quality of the original. Coburn (‘We Interrupt This Programme’) deliver two fierce electro tinged house versions (a full vocal and a dub) while the Housemates go down the old school house road.

"There's much to be admired here. The Original has a winning Dubtribe-esque deep, melodic flow. Coburn's is the pick, all squirty squidge and wobble full of ravey chords and acid energy." iDJ Magazine
